Bring your students to experience “Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress”, a powerful play that offers invaluable social-emotional learning opportunities. Morris loves puzzles, painting, and pretending to be an astronaut, but what he loves most is wearing the tangerine dress from his school’s dress-up box—it reminds him of tigers, the sun, and his mother’s hair. When some classmates say boys can’t wear dresses, Morris embarks on a journey of self-discovery, guided by his vivid imagination and space-animal friends, asking the thought-provoking question: “Do astronauts wear dresses?”

This heartfelt production encourages students to honor their authentic selves and respect each other's unique identities. It’s a vibrant exploration of self-expression, acceptance, and empathy, perfectly aligning with social-emotional learning (SEL) goals. The theatre becomes a safe space where students can engage with these themes, sparking meaningful discussions about individuality, inclusion, and the courage to be oneself.

“Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress” is more than just a play—it’s a resource for fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring your students to a show that will inspire them to embrace their differences and respect others’ journeys.
