Today, cover a 3D object with hundreds of dots like Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Come explore new materials and methods while learning about fascinating women makers!

Join a special mosaic making workshop in the MakerSpace. Professional artist Roberta March will begin the artmaking process by drawing inspiration from the incredible lives of native birds. Attendees will use colorful, smoothed glass to make patterns and designs on wooden bird bases. Take time to engage in the joy of the creative process, use beautiful materials, and share in the inspiration of the natural world.

We are creating a BIG LOVE art collaboration in the MakerSpace for Valentine’s Day. This guided weekday activity will feature fabric squares you can personalize with materials and drawings to be added to the BIG LOVE display. Free with admission.

At this drop-off workshop, children are invited to measure and mix a batch of thermochromic playdough that changes color with the heat of their hands.
Ticket holders participate in an hour-long workshop full of experiments with heat and leave with a fist-sized ball of color-changing playdough decorated with hearts!
$15 per child. Members receive a 10% discount.
Museum visit tickets are sold separately.
